Back in the day, I was bouncing between jobs, trying to make a buck and pay the bills. I serve tables, and push papers in a corporate job, and honestly? Not feeling any of it.

But your boy’s got a dream, right? Inside, though, there’s this fire. I’m dreaming of making music. But with a family to take care of, dreams sometimes have to take the backseat.

I’ll admit, I often feel like a hamster on a wheel, constantly chasing that elusive carrot, yet never quite getting there. Amidst all this hustle, my heart’s still pumping beats and melodies, longing to break free and jam.

So, fast forward a bit, and it’s July 2012. I snag a gig at a call center. Nerves? Check. Self-doubt? Check. Friends and family laughing at my so-called “career choices”? Double check. But deep down, amidst the jokes and chuckles, I’m plotting my escape route to freedom – I’m talking time, money, and location independence.

After intense research on the web, I stumbled upon this cool book called “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. Woah! It’s like someone just pulled the curtains from my eyes. Eckhart’s thoughts shuffled my spiritual deck and I’m seeing things in a whole new light.

Then there’s another gem, “The Four Agreements” by Miguel Ruiz. More mind-blowing moments. Man, it’s like every page I turn is leading me closer to my dreams.

But the real game-changer? “$100 Start Up” by Chris Guillebeau. This baby has me itching to hit the online world. I mean, blogging? Why not? With the insights I gathered, especially about the magical world of affirmations from “The Power of Now”, I hatched a plan.
